Silvio Porzionato Curriculum
A figurative painter who primarily works with oil and acrylic on large canvases, Porzionato focuses on exploring the use of black, white, and grey in his pieces. His compositions communicate his personal reflections and thoughts on the passage of time.
After studying art, he worked in design for a major firm in Turin. He left this career and retreated to the Italian countryside of Roero to spend a period of time surrounded by unspoiled landscapes and concentrating exclusively on his art.
Porzionato began showing his work in 2007, when a piece is selected for the "Premio Arte Mondadori". In 2010, he won the critics' award at "Saluzzo Art" and, shortly after, created a piece for the permanent collection at Turin's Museum of Urban Art. He was invited to participate in the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011, showing pieces in the Italian Pavilion and Turin's Nervi Hall.
He continues to hold solo and group exhibitions, recently opened a new studio in Moncalieri near Turin.
Porzionato has worked with Liquid art system since 2015.
