"It is the places of art that mark the academic profession and the artistic career of Moreno Bondi.
Born in 1959 in Carrara, home of marble and sculpture; grew up in a Tuscany cradle of the Renaissance; Baroque Rome is the place of choice for his work in balance between memory and experimentation.
A scholar of Caravaggio, Moreno Bondi combines oil painting, statuary marble sculpture (personally made) and contemporary languages, enhancing technical quality, sensitive beauty, intellectual depth, emotional involvement.
Thanks to the in-depth knowledge of the techniques, his art is declined through innovative ways: starting from the sculpture inserted in the painting, passing from the superimposition of the canvases first expertly painted and then worked and torn with fire, up to the engineering introversion of the canvas (created by a system of counterframes and tie rods), with some digression in traditional installation.
The aim is to project the painting into the surrounding space and offer the public a growing involvement with the work of art. "
