After the success at ”’Art Miami 2014”’ and, later, at the first edition of ”’Capri – the Island of Art (2015)”’, the installations ”’The Exhibition and Inner Outside”’ will be both presented on April 15h at the ”’Romanelli Hall, Royal Palace”’ of Caserta, which houses two contemporary art installations for the first time. The two works, one by ”’Peter Demetz”’ and the other one by ”’Antonio Sannino”’, are displayed together because they both represent the result of a modern reinterpretation of ancient art techniques. The exhibition is promoted by ”’Liquid Art System”’ by ”’Franco Senesi”’, with offices in Capri and Positano, curated by ”’Marco Izzolino”’ and organized by ”’Barbara Genio”’, in partnership with the ”’Archeoclub”’ of Sant’Agata de’ Goti.
The interaction with the huge richly-decorated rooms of the Palace is made possible by the common roots underlying the architectural and decorative structure of the Palace and the two contemporary installations: the unity of the arts as the harmony of opposites maintained by ”’Gian Lorenzo Bernini”’ in the 17h century.
Visitors, either visiting the Royal Palace or dwelling on the two installations, are actively involved by a sort of alliance between the art techniques that – between illusion and reality – make all the venues of this Palace a sort of scenic design where the visitor himself is the focus. Demetz and Sannino present two works that go beyond the limits of their traditional media – sculpture for the first and painting for the latter – and which are the result of two different ways of merging the two media starting from two opposite sides.
